What is the difference between platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin?

There are several differences - first of all, blood for fibrin production is collected in special test tubes that do not contain anticoagulant, followed by the centrifugation process, which in the case of fibrin is much slower and shorter, thanks to which the preparation has different properties. In contrast to plasma, fibrin contains not only platelets and growth factors, but also other types of cells that significantly affect the regeneration process, including stem cells. Fibrin, a few minutes after centrifugation, creates a microscopic three-dimensional structure that stimulates skin cells continuously and for a long time.

The stimulation of the skin after the use of fibrin is stronger, more long-lasting, and the patient does not have to disconnect from everyday activities.

When is the effect formed and how long does it last?

The first effects of the treatment are visible after about two weeks. The stimulation of the skin begins 48 hours after the first treatment. Improvement of skin tension, elasticity, density, reconstruction of collagen fibers and filling of fine wrinkles are achieved after just three treatments. After just two treatments, hair thickens and improves its condition.

Is the procedure painful?

The treatment is a bit painful. As in the case of classic mesotherapy, the patient feels stings with a needle. Before performing the procedure, we anesthetize the patient with a special cream.
